I really do hate it for you guys that live in the middle of that bullshit.
A few of them laying in the street with bullet holes might deter them for a few hours..
They will never learn.. if they get arrested then they get 3 square meals, AC, Showers. then get out and do it all over again.

We dont have those kinda problems around here.

It's also an epidemic in California, Nevada, and Florida. Wherever business is booming for hot auto parts. Keep your **** really guarded nowadays. I feel bad for those living in apartments with fancy wheels.

does having wheel locks help at all? I know you can buy kits to remove those, I have a couple sets for when customers come to the shop to have them removed due to lost key etc. and even with a hoist, impact gun and the proper removal tool it still takes me about 15-20 minutes to remove them all!
I was planning for when I get wheels to put like 2 on per wheel.
but where I am there's no issues with stolen rims, I've heard/seen stolen wheels once and that was about 4 years ago. they just steal civics and f150s around here

i doubt they'd slow any serious wheel thief down much unfortunately.

It was just a matter of time before it happened in houston tho...which sucks still...

and as for the locks, normally there is only one per wheel and i know i personally can take all 4 locks off with no key in less than 1 minute. And im no pro lol

I had 2 sets of locks on and an alarm with a 3 degree tilt sensor on my GMC,the reason I did 2 sets was because the standard gorilla lock key could be gotten by any *** at a discount tire.
