#21
Well i just took of my cats off last week... notice more throttle response... louder and raspy.. raw fuel .... but my gas mileage is **** now... but a tune should take care that... this is my first car that im doing performance mods... so anything that makes it a little faster ima do it lol... some one should do a dyno about it...

Just curious if you had your tune done yet, and if your mileage is any better/worse.

I doubt anyone can feel the difference between high-flow cats and no cats. You could possibly tell the difference between stock cats and no cats.
IMO, no cats just serves to **** off everyone on the road and makes your car smell like its running crappy.

I have no cats but kinda wish I did. The smell is pretty raunchy sometimes. I can't warm the truck up in the garage, it smells like crap in there afterwards, even with the door open. However, I think I'm running a little rich right now. Power-wise? Who knows?
It does sound great though, I'm using two mufflers in line and when I start the truck in the morning, it doesn't wake the dead. When I hammer it, it sounds great.

I've had both, I don't think it makes any noticeable difference. Maybe when you're pushing 500 hp or more, I don't know. The only reason I didn't get cats on my ARH is because they cost $250 more. All cost being equal, I'll take cats.
