Would you be willing to get rid of that console? If not, where did you get it?

 

Got the console on ebay and had the local paint store mix up some paint, then coated over that with semi gloss clearcoat for scratch resistance..

Truck got hail damage and looks like im stuck with it, SS guy said hes still interested if i get the hail damage fixed but as of right now im pretty strapped for cash with all the house projects..

Cant do everything!!

 

Do you know what the part number is for that console, or what specific info you used to find it? I've looked on ebay but cant find the right one

 

dang man, sucks to hear about the hail... that would have been a nice trade. I would do a straight up trade for that SS.

 

If i get the hail damage fixed i will still trade him, but i am getting a 5.3 tahoe engine and camming it to drop in my truck so idk if im going to keep mine or what..

 

is someone giving u a 5.3 or are u purchasing one?

I wouldn't pay to go from a 4.8 to a 5.3, but for free, hell yeah! Congrats!

 

Hell yeah, I plan to mill my 243 heads a bit, throw in a 224 cam and a TB stall (also free) and see how it runs after a tune of course..

Do you think that the 4.8 cal will power the truck well enough after the swap to get it to the tuner? its about 65 miles to his house..

 

Hmmm, I wouldn't think so but I don't have a lot of experience in that area. The idea of driving on a tune that differs from the vehicle's setup makes me nervous, especially with higher compression, a cam, and a different stall in the mix.
