Yeah right, they must share a manufacturing plant with Cal Speed. I know that's what they claim, but I was in the industry, and I know where they come from. Don't believe everything you read.

Looks like you are dealing with their poor quality yourself. I'm willing to bet you've had to complain about wheel balance more than a couple of times. Plus the finish issues.

Even if somebody proves me wrong, and they actually ARE made in the USA, they are still just the "fashion jewelry" of the custom wheel industry. Anything that requires 10 oz or more of wheel weight to balance is junk.

 

could the sensors be epoxied to the center of inside of the wheel? has any one tried just using 1 TPMS sensor in the spare and see if the computer would except it?

 

Remember these sensors require rotation to keep them Charged/Activated. After a period of time they will shut off if they are not kept in rotation... There are tricks to keep them happy, but they aren't permanent.

Using one sensor would be very tricky. You're best bet is to mount them inside the wheels like they are supposed to be.

We used to be able to get hose clamps that were designed for hanging signs on lamp posts and poles. They were able to be adjusted to fit around the center of a 24" wheel. Placing the sensor opposite of the adjustment mechanism worked great for balancing. They never slip or move around once tightened.
