how are Boss wheels?
#21
Aren't all the Boss wheels made in the US? Pretty sure they are. Have their 330's on my crew cab. The quality & finish of the wheels themselves are very good. The big downsides are they are not concentric and the polished rim on this series anyways is not clear coated. So finding the right metal centering ring for your hub is crucial. The lack of clear coating on the rim is a huge PITA. They look horrible quickly and it's tough to keep ahead of. If i'd known that in advance i'd likely have gone in a different direction.
Looks like you are dealing with their poor quality yourself. I'm willing to bet you've had to complain about wheel balance more than a couple of times. Plus the finish issues.
Even if somebody proves me wrong, and they actually ARE made in the USA, they are still just the "fashion jewelry" of the custom wheel industry. Anything that requires 10 oz or more of wheel weight to balance is junk.

Remember these sensors require rotation to keep them Charged/Activated. After a period of time they will shut off if they are not kept in rotation... There are tricks to keep them happy, but they aren't permanent.
Using one sensor would be very tricky. You're best bet is to mount them inside the wheels like they are supposed to be.
We used to be able to get hose clamps that were designed for hanging signs on lamp posts and poles. They were able to be adjusted to fit around the center of a 24" wheel. Placing the sensor opposite of the adjustment mechanism worked great for balancing. They never slip or move around once tightened.
