How do I remove the Day time running lamp??

I'd wait a couple hours and start it with the truck facing the sun and see if the lights come on. Or shine a flashlight at the photocell and start it if you can't get to it in the day.
I think you did it right, but it was just too dark when you tried it last night/this morning.

Pulling the fuses will prevent the lights from coming on in the day, and prevent them from getting half the voltage when turned on.
But whenever the photocell in the dash decides ambient lighting is dark enough, the headlights will come on. So start the truck at noon in the sun, no lights, but start it at night in your garage, headlights on.
If you want the headlights to only come on with a switch, then you've got some work to do.

Exactly. If you're ever driving around dusk, and notice the lights in the dash and gauges suddenly light up, that's the photocell turning on the lights.
It works for what I want, no un-needed wear and tear on the lights in the day when you don't need them anyways.

I did the same with the DIC as well. I also pulled the DRL fuses on it and there isnt a problem. No matter what tho, if the photocell says its dark out they still will turn on, on their own. I have the remote start and they will flick on, then off and then back on again(when dark out). I asked the dealer and searched and I came up empty, I think thats the best you can get it.
