How do I remove the Day time running lamp??

the bulbs are the headlights. cant pull them out. what i do with mine is turn and hold the **** to the off position when you start so the lights dont come on with ignition, go off while cranking and back on again. i leave my house at 4:30 in the morning so unlocking turns lights on but i dont like them turning on 3 different times before i pull out of the driveway. when you want lights on then you just turn the **** like you would on something that didnt have auto lights
