But, then again, if you're open to swapping in a higher-stalling converter in the future, then you could easily swing a larger cam.
For example, I have a 6.0 with a TR224 and the first converter I ran was a TT3000. Changed that to a 3600, love it, and now want more cam...

What about The tried and true TR220 cam? I would think in a new 5.3 NNBS with a 3200 278mm Circle D, and 4.10's it would be a really nice running truck. That what's going to go in mine when I do it. I just put my 4.10's in, and with my stock cam and 3200 stall, it is still fun to drive. Although mine is a RCSB.

It drives great. I had 3.42's. If I drive something with a stock stall and get in the truck I know there is a stall there for maybe 5 minutes. I have my lock-up apply speed lowered some so it comes in a little quicker on back roads. I must say the 4.10's and stall make it a different truck to drive...It only needs a little more RPM to move, very minimal increase. It felt a little sluggish with the 3.42's, that is gone with the 4.10's.

the re worked trail blazer converters drive pretty much like stock.. u can only really feel them when u do a wot run.. cruising on the streets they are pretty stock. go with the 3200 i already had that one and now im running a 9.5" 3600 now this one u can feel but man the performance is incredible compared to the3200
