I had to chop the stock 6.2L exhuast to remove, couldn't fish out. Had to do the same with my ol' 2007 Sierra Denali.

Just put a jack under the hitch til it stretches out the suspension where the rear tires almost come off the ground, drop the spare and pull the driveshaft. It will come right out going to the front and coming out from under the frame. Ive never been able to pull one out the back with a hitch and bumper, if thats off you can.

What I said only takes 5 minutes and you can make 100 bucks off something you were going to chunk in the dumpster

Thats still more work than cutting it off and then u got to pay for pipe to be routed and buy a piece that will bolt to the stock y.

You have to jack the truck up anyway to do any sort of exhaust, so really the only extra stuff you have to do is drop the spare and pulling the driveshaft is four little 11mm bolts so not exactly a big job and most people replace the entire catback with a magnaflow, corsa, or in marks case a gibson. If youre just swapping the muffler then I could understand but I speaking mainly in reference to those doing an aftermarket catback. Im know there others besides me looking for one and you can get 100 bucks pretty easy for them.
