Default Input on swapping to a little bigger cam!

Right now I have an 222-230 dur./596-600 lift on 112lsa and it pulls hard above 3700 and starts to lay over at 6300rpm. The reason for going with this cam was it made more torque and alittle better peak numbers on truckshops lq4 6.0 with heads! But when in my L76 6.0 with L92 heads it turns on and off like a light switch So I'm gunna put a 3200 circle-d in it but still want more from the cam! Thinking about Vinci's square port cams!! Their "154" cam looks sweet and with a big split in Duration to compensate for the huge intake and not so huge exhaust valves! It's a 224-244 dur./590-590 lift on 112lsa! I thank y'all in advance for info!

Well think Im gunna put it back together and dyno with the 3200 converter & Cnc, decked and hollow stem valves and see how it does. Then do the cam swap to see which cam is better! My problem with what I have is it comes on late and lays over earlier than I want but it pulls like a MF'er when it's on!

the cam he has is spec'd by Geoff Skinner @ EPS already......the cam was designed to be on the big end of a stock stall and 4:10s for a lifted truck on 35s. i think the truck runs strong as hell as it is. throw the dope on it and let it eat

I would've expected Geoff to spec at least a 12 degree split for unworked L92 heads and possibly higher lobe seperation. Was this cam originally specd for cathedral port heads?

nope, it was spec'd for the truck to be a good DD and pull to 6400-6500....

Skoal Bandit runs the same cam in his truck, Truckshop use to run it in his truck just on a 111 lsa but had PRC 2.5 heads and a 3400 converter.
my cam doesnt have a 10+ degree split and im on stock heads decked. Geoff spec'd me the same cam as Hammer/Skoal Bandit. i run a 228/236 and mine pulls to 7k no problems. im actually thinking of kicking it down to a 221/230.

i see a ton of people offering the 12-20* splits but i see these L92s run very good on the 4-8* split. Chevrolade runs a 4* split if i recall correct and he runs 12.7 @ 112
