I was wondering if I can install the stock bumper cap from my 1500 sierra with the 2011 denali hd front bumper? reason i'm asking is because I can't find a white 2500 front bumper cap and I already want to do the conversion

 

I dont think is going to work unless you leave the stock grill not the hd grill..

 

why dont u order on from the dealer? they wont be painted. But your 1500 top cap will work check it out, stroll down to Carbongmc last pic is the 2500 bumper with the 1500 cap and grille

I dont have the HD bumper on in my Sig Pic, but I do have it installed on my truck already. You will need to use your 1500 bumper cap, unless you plan on doing the complete front end conversion (grill, hood, bumper, ect.)

If you do plan on the entire conversion, I have a 2011 GMC HD 2500 bumper cap I can sell you. Its Silver, not white, but painting it is always an option.

 

Hey carbon whats the process to install the hd bumper on a regular 1500 if you dont mind telling us..

 

pull the bumper off, replace it with the 2500 bumper

 

I'm doing the front bumper, and grill only so I don't know if I have to use the bumper cap also...

 

To do the grille you need the 2500 cap bc the grille is longer

The HD bumper will bolt up to the stock frame rail mounts. Now, your 1500 bumper cap will need to be gutted, as in you have to take out all the plastic backing that it has behind it. There will also no longer be any gap between the bumper cap, and the upper indention in the HD bumper. The sides will also need new mounts as your 1500 bumper end mounts will not bolt up. They will need to be cut and modified to line up with the HD bumper. Honestly, if you want to do the swap, its not hard if you have any amount of hands on experience. Just bolt it up, and you will clearly see the most of what Im talking about. Hope this helps....
