I have the 9.5" 14 bolt disc brake rear end for sure.

From reading and talking to fellow owners it all appears to be pretty confusing and not everything is consistent.

I'm looking at my Window Sticker right now trying to get more info for you guys.

My truck is listed on here as follows.

2011 SILVERADO 1500 2WD EXT CAB LT
VORTEC 6.2L V8 SFI ENGINE
6-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

I have the Texas Edition Package - $3,970.00.
5.3L
6 Speed Transmission
HD Trailering Equipment Pkg (Maybe this is what you guys are calling MAX Trailering?)
Locking Rear Differential
20" Chrome Clad Wheels (says replaces std/opt wheels0
Locking Tailgate
EZ Lift Tailgate
Pwr Seat Adjuster
Auto Dual Zone A/C
Steering Wheel Radio Controls
CD Player w/USB
Bluetooh for Phone
Fog Lamps
Chrome Door Handles/Mirror Caps

Then it skips down and lists the following.
6.2L (Replaces Packaged Engine) - $1,070.00
Protection Package: (Dealer Installed) - $384.00
*Rear Wheel Liner
*Molded Splash Guards
*Bedrail Protectors

Chrome Package: (Dealer Installed) - $276.00
*Chrome Tow Hooks (Replaces Factory Tow Hooks)
*Highly Polished Exhaust Tip

Underseat Storage Bin (Dealer Installed) - $162.00

Rear Axle 3.42 Ratio - Inc.

ALL 6.2 trucks with 2wd or selectable 4wd have a 9.5" 14-bolt disc brake rearend. ALL non-NHT 6.2s come with the 3.42 gear in the 14-bolt. ALL NHT trucks have the 3.73 gear in the 14-bolt rear. The only L9H/L92 trucks that don't get the 14-bolt are those with fulltime AWD.

Yeah, you get a lot more than a better engine when you go the 6.2 route. No regrets here
