My 2008 Denali and am looking forward to flashing the BlackBear tune in my completely stock 6.2. I've been putting a lot of miles on with work lately and wanted something comfortable to drive and found this a month ago at an auction in OH.

Just installed it the other day and I'm very happy with the results. It really improved overall drivability by improving throttle response and performance. It wouldn't spin the tires (awd) prior to the Blackbear flash, but it does now. From a roll or a dig it goes pretty good for a SUV

Yes they was :-) I went with a high octane tune because E85 is readily available here. I will be running 89 octane with 20% E85 per Justin's recommendation.

Read from time to time about people buying vehicles from auctions. How might a regular person go about attending one of these?

Most "good auctions" in houston require a dealers license, which is very easy to get! But they do have auctions open to public like Houston Auto auction.
Houston Auto Auction :: Dealer Auction, Public Auction, Buy Vehicles, Sell Vehicles

you might beable to go there and get some more info from the regulars.
