Default Kooks vs ARH vs OBX 6.2 headers...

So after as much googling as i can stand im getting conflicts....can i please just get some straight answers on OBX cuz kooks and ARH headers in canada are 1850+ USD.

so...what size is the Y-pipe tubing and what size is the flange? I read the flange is 2.5" so im assuming the pipe is as well and that means it wont bolt up to my stock catback....which is silly

I'm assuming kooks and ARH will bolt right up to stock catback and have a 3" Y-pipe....

if you know of a place to get Kooks or ARH cheaper that ships to canada, please let me know asap!!

Thanks guys...

I checked out the Stainless Works site and they have a totally different setup than what i'm looking for at almost the same price.

Pacesetter told me they don't make headers for the 6.2...I'm assuming they meant Y pipe...just point me in the direction of a y pipe that will bolt right up to the stock catback piping and im laughing!

Or if the OBX pipes do for sure i'd be happy. what size is the stock flange and y-pipe anyway?

kooks guy supposed to call me back tomorrow with a price but ARH is 1850 USD with cats from a canadian ARH dealer....im having a hard time swallowing that price

I have the obx headers and they work great. They are 3 inch. The only thing is that for 2011 trucks they don't meet up with the stock catback due to flange differences. I had to get an aftermarket catback designed for a 2010 truck in order to use them. No big deal since I was going to do that anyways.

If you want Pacesetters just get them for a 5.3, they are the same.

My Opinion is going to be biased so just fair warning.

You can't beat the price of OBX headers for right at 500$ shipped to your door for Headers/Y-Pipe. The 5.3L headers and 6.2L headers are the same as far as obx is concerned (A 2.5in collector is no good for a 6.2L though) So I went the Pacesetter route.

You can't beat that price, 372$ for Coated LT's is a great deal and just head to your local muffler shop to get them to make you a 3in Y-Pipe and your set.

He is right on the Pacesetters fitting. Same goes for most other companies as well.
Or you could get the Calspeed headers for $299 and sell the y pipe it comes with and have your own made. I think these would be a better deal than OBX.

See only thing that stopped me from doing OBX then was because I had seen and heard they have/had fitting issues they turned colored real quick and also OBX had a recall on 100s of header sets back in summer 2011 just my 2cents bit again I've heard some have had good results with them also other than the finish flaking off in few months
