let us know exactly what was leaking and if they say it was caused by the syn oil.

Never mentioned I had synthetic in it. They replaced the rear engine cover housing p/n 12515666 due to casting porosity. Im not incredibly confident in this diagnosis. They changed the oil as well (back to dino of course). It will have another 1000 miles on it by this time next week, so I will be able to tell if it worked or not.

There is a TSB on the cover issue so hopefully that was the problem.

I thought the TSB was for a seal leak? That makes me feel better

This one specifically mentions the porosity across the mating surface of the rear cover. PM'd you.

800 miles on it since repair, no more leak. Dealer had to drain the oil and they refilled with dino. Going to put synthetic back in it tomorrow, but I don't see that changing things.

Looks like my front pump seal in my tranny was bad. Got the truck back today, seems to be good.

6300 miles on it now and its leaking again. Coming from the same place and possible the side of the block as well. Its not oily on the starter bolts, but its dripping off the side AND the back of the pan whereas last time it was just the back.

Going to try and take it back in this week.
