long haul gearing.
ok, what gear should i install in my 07 w/t for my trip to montant from here in arizona?i curretly have 3:23s and will be hauling a 12 bolt axle and two fenders in the bed.my cruising speed will be at 70 mph. 3:73s,3:90s or 4:10?

judging by your pic, you have a crew cab, 4.8, with bigger tires, 4sp auto. You definitely need to get your rpms up on the highway. I bet it's going to downshift alot with 3.23s. depending on your tire size I still say 3.73s, to get your rpms around 1800-1900 cruising.

it does downshift alot and thats what i don't want on this trip.i have a readylift 1.5 leveling kit and run 265s instead of those gimpy 245s.

The stock 23's would be fine on a FLAT haul, but if your running the hills it will def be doing the down shift thing alot.. 73's are a all around good gear.. Remember bigger tires is the same as a higher gear.. So if your bigger then stock tires( height) you will be in theory running a taller gear..
