Default Looking at a new 010 Sierra 1500 SLE... any pointers?

Just looking for a daily work truck for me and the guys. Nothing extravagant but the cost difference between base and SLE is diddly so heres where im at and anyone add anything they feel is a MUST have

010 Sierra SLE ex cab sui doors
5.3L VVT 6sp auto
power driver seat
SLE exterior trim package
locking diff

Thats it thus far. What about grill options? Or hows the factory bluetooth anyone know? I have a kick *** pioneer system in my current truck i was going to transfer over but the bluetooth is not really the cleanest on output. Reception clarity on my end is PERFECT but the listeners often complain its fuzzy/echo etc.

Not sure if I should add the HD cooling package? My current truck doesnt have it and NEVER heats up so I dont know if its nec but figured maybe someone would have other thoughts?

I was thinking of the 4.8L VVT but it only comes 4spd auto and Im thinking the 5.3L with 6spd is by far the way to go. I never even drove a test either I guess I should.

Anyways lemme hear your thoughts fellas. Thanks

Definitely go with the 6.2! You'll be happier you did in the long run.

Yeah I've come a long way in a day. Looking like im going for a very similar truck to the link below.

6.2L 6spd auto
Midnight Blue
ebony cloth ( maybe leather not sure yet )
crew cab now instead of ex cab
high back bucket seats
6 way pwr drivers seat
20" clad wheels
locking diff
trailer package etc
SLE exterior package
bed extender
tailgate package

Not sure if I need to step up to the BOSE or just the upgraded 8 speaker. I MUST have bluetooth though. Might add on a few doo dads here and there but so far im really digging it

Heres the other truck link

If you plan to add some power in the future, you might also want to consider the HD cooling package. It will help those tranny temps stay down and also the engine oil.

Yup I checked into that. I also ordered the HD towing package which defaults the HD cooling package iirc. Regardless Im getting it and the biggest trans cooler available I do a fair bit of towing.

Thinking about the tri-fold toneau cover does anyone know what the manufacturer of these are for GM?

Thanks for the tips fellas Im pretty jazzed. I went from just replacing the work truck to getting a new toy HAHA.. I always get carried away

THIS ONE IS MINE..... Glad you like it.

IIRC- When you get the 6.2 it comes with HD Trailering Equip Package which has the locking diff and the Tranny Cooler. I also have the sport handling suspension package which I think just upgrades the sway bar and adds 20" wheels.

The bluetooth is pretty good as long as the windows are up. I asked my wife and she hears me great as long as the windows are up (wind noise).

As far as the BOSE. I tried to find one with it and the only vehicles with the 6.2 that had BOSE were the SLTs and I can't stand the woodgrain!!
