Lowered my 08 4x4 today..
added pics
Mcgaughs 2" spindles and 2 " shackles and took out rear blocks for 3" total in rear.
I love it.
So far I have Magnaflow 3" cat back, lowering, GMPP Cai, lots of tint, 20" oem wheels [came with 17's] and Michelin, LT285/55/20 AT2"s.
ARH LT headers and cats will be here tomorrow according to UPS and front bumper top and grill go for color match this week.
Gotta get HPT tune from my 07 into 08 when I have time.
I'LL get some pics when the bumper/grill is done and some pics of headers.
08 4x4 lowered sorry, chitty pic
07 2wd lowered and 08 4x4 before lowering

ok ok
as I said, just finished at 10pm
i'll do some pics tomorrow.
I'm surprised the tires don't rub and it needs an alignment, did it by eye to get home and to
alignment shop in am. Steers fine but steering wheel is off center.
Mcgaugh's directions leave something to be desired for 4x4, no mention of moving axles
which needs to be done to do upper ball joint nuts.
This truck has a tow package and vmax and sits high stock, higher than a z71 without a tow package. had a air gap in the rear of 9.5 inches between top of tire and fender stock, now is 6 " rear, didn't measure the front.
FYI, Magnaflow on this truck is much quieter than same 07 , so cats must be different.

I've got pretty much the same setup, but with the Z71 package. The gap in the fender is huge. I can't wait to get this thing dropped to a reasonable height. I am pretty much set on the Ground Force 2/4 kit, but am curious to see the results with the McG parts...
