Default LS2 Cam - Gains or Loss??

Im doing a LS2 cam before i put my trubo kit on, and Im wondering if I will get any gains or losses from only the cam. The truck is an 09 CC 5.3 with exhaust, K&N drop in, and a Truckshop tune. Im just wondering how its gonna feel before I go forced induction with it compared to the stock cam...

Dude dont waste your time. You wont gain anything for the amount of time you put into doing the swap. If your going to tear into your motor get an aftermarket cam.

I agree with the others, the LS2 cam really was mild. Just cost too damn much money to do a cam swap if your not going to gain anything.

well, im getting the ls2 cam for free, so i really cant complain. thats the only reason im even putting it in because of that, and because it will make more of a power increase after i go turbo than my stock cam would. Im just curious about how it will do compared to stock, because there will be about a month or two before i bolt on the turbo kit. if it wasnt free, I really wouldnt even be doing a cam swap right now.

I wish I had enough money to do a before and after dyno. My tune and dyno time after the turbo is gonna be close to 500 by itself! lol

Does anybody have the cam specs on an LS2 cam compared to a stocker in an 09 GMC 5.3?

its gonna pull harder after 3500rpm
the ls2 may be the same as older z06 cam 99-01 with 204/211 525 lift
Just because its not some big donkey dick cam people think its useless

ZO6 CAM 204/218 .555/.551 117.5 405hp....... used for a cheap boost cam

Your stock Truck cam should be this
191/190 .457/.466 114

whats the cam specs you have ls2?
