My little 4.8 is starting to tick in my 2012 Silverado, I was looking at the 480hp GM crate engine, what will I need to make this swap?

 

Time and a tune....

 

And a stronger transmission.

 

I got the transmission lined out with a built 80. Started working 7-12s so when this job is over the swap begins.

 

The 480hp LS3 will pretty much be a plug and play for the 4.8l. I would take in account that you will need to look into a new truck intake for the rectangle port or work the front acc drive system to clear the lower car style intake.
