Got a question just on the theory of building the manifold for turbos...I'm guessing you want everything as short as possible so the compressor can spool up quicker? Would there be any benefit to having longer primaries?

Well you have to figure in space constraints as well as you want to keep the Hot "expanded" exhaust gasses as hot as possible..also remember, turbos love heat..(the good way lol) and you lose alot with long thin primaries..Tubular manifolds sure do look cool and have yhier place

Have you had one of these mounted on an engine before? I wonder how they hold up for the long run with the amount of heat, and the weight of the turbo hanging off of it.. I have a brand newish turbo that i just had refurbished by a local reputable shop. I traded two smaller ford 2.3 turbos for this one.. Still has paint on it.. I would love to do a single turbo setup on my little 4.8 using the HX.. this manifold looks good for that purpose??

Thanks

this manifold is is about .250 thick so it will hold up a turbo no problem.my turbo weighs 19 lbs. but ive seen one kb built for "2005silverado" and hung a 35lb turbo off of it .. ive built one out of thign wall tubing before but i though i would try a couple out of thicker stuff

the runners are short because space is tight

this is my 2nd manifold ive built, im about to start on my 3rd one.

i used a milling machine with a hole saw to notch it,, then cleaned it with a carbide burr and tiger disc
