Default Magnuson warranty is it worth it

I can I stall my Super Charger my self and have no warranty and $1200 or have a dealer install it for like $900 its 8-10 rated install time. + $300 for a 5/60000 warranty that covers up to $5000 on engine, $1500 on Transmission , and $1500 on axles. so for $1200 I get $8000 worth of coverage.
This is my DD and a warranty would be nice. I could just hand it to the dealer and get it back done

Edit: Ok... I got it... You're talking about the supercharger.

I'd read the details very clearly and find out what all is covered under warranty, additionally find out who can perform repairs.

A warranty is worth quite a bit of $$ if you plan to beat on the truck.

Just my opinion, but if you cant afford repairs, dont go asking for them by installing a supercharger.

3 months after the blower is on, you're gonna get bored with it and want more. EVERYBODY gets greedy with boost. Then you'll pulley down and retune, maybe add a cam. Anyways, the warranty will be invalid then, so just save your money.

Also back in 2010 my uncle had the dealer install his magnacharger on his escalade with 8,000 miles and only way to keep his magna warranty was to keep it at 7lbs of boost BUT he lost the factory powertrain and drivetrain warranty from the dealer even though it was installed by them. Now he is at 9lbs but he is in no need of more lol
