Default Mandos drop shop

Mando's drop shop installed my 4/7 kit on my 08 rcsb about 2 weeks ago. Every thing seemed ok then my truck started to sound like a bucket of bolts in the *** end. So I finally got under it this weekend to see what was going on. I found both rear shocks loose and the drivers side u bolts very very loose. The factory bump stop brackets were cut straight across the top instead of grinding the welds and completey removing them. He also cut threw my receiver hitch to access the rear shackle bolts!!I knew I should have installed this kit myself but with 80hr work weeks and a new baby at home it just wasn't possible. I have known Mando for 15 years we aren't good friends but we go back. Just don't know if I should bring this to his attention or let it slide. Its just really silly to me cause it was such a simple job! Anybodys thoughts on how to address this if at all give me your input.

I'd take it back and point everything out, old acquaintance or not. Sounds like they took shortcuts to get it done quickly and the install quality overall is just plain unprofessional. Loose suspension components can become a very hairy and dangerous situation had things started falling apart at hwy speeds. And I'd make him buy a new receiver hitch.
Things like this make me glad I have the ability to perform everything on my own vehicles. But like you said, sometimes you just get too busy and have to hand it off for someone else to do. Unfortunately, this was probably one of those times you wish you hadn't. Sorry to hear about the troubles.
Main thing I'd point out to Mando is that it could have ended up very bad if it came apart on you while driving down the hwy.

As far as the bolts being loose, sometimes after installing suspension parts a bolt or two will come loose, but this seems to be way to many at one time, plus the other problems just seems like they rushed.I would surely take it back and have him tighten everything back up and settle the issue on the other problems.

I agree about a loose bolt or two. The receiver hitch just pisses me off cause I could have sold that thing but now who will want it all cut up. I am over here thinking I need a knotch and if I remove the rest of the bump stop brackets I may be ok. I got every thing tighten up in the drive way today. I am going to have to get in there and clean up the rest of his mess tomorrow with a grinder and some primer and paint.

That's ridiculous that they cut your hitch! I just had to remove mine to put on drop shackles and it literally took an extra 10 mins. I would have them buy me a new one and I'd comment on all the loose bolts and shocks... Sounds like the kinda place where they wont give a **** though.

I really don't want another hitch but I had planned on taking it off and making a few bucks off it. This dude bags trucks for a living and this is how he installed a basic lowering kit! He showed me some of his jobs and they all looked first class. I was going to get him to notch it for me but not now. I hate to bad mouth anybody but it is what it is I guess. But then again I didn't do the shitty work so......... I am going to call him tomorrow. I will let you guys know what he says

Get him to do the notch, have him give you a discount for destroying the hitch, and now that he knows you inspect his work he may do the notch correct.

That shop would never touch my vehicle again. He could have gotten you in an accident and possibly injured if that suspension came apart. Im not one to throw out terms like 'lawsuit', but just make sure he does the right thing in correcting your problem, or hand him some court documents
