Modifying wheel well..
Hey all,
I was wandering if anyone has modified their wheel well in the front to prevent rubbing. I have some 22" Rims with 305/45/22's and i love the wide tires, but they rub fairly bad side to side (just on the very edge of the tread and it isn't hurting the tires). However, I'd like to stick with this tire size if possible and just see what i can do about modifying the wheel well. I already cut out part of the plastic and now it looks silly. Any ideas? I had a few people tell me i could just cut out the the metal part where it rubs.

It's a combination of a HUGE tire and offset of wheel. Your front tire is damn near 33" tall (32.80), and the truck is lowered. That tire is like 2" taller than stock. You need a smaller tire on the front, simple as that.

For future info, a friend showed me how to take a Wooden baseball bat and set it between the rear part of the tire tire and the wheel well and roll the truck back to push in the metal to where it doesn't rub anymore. Only works with wooden bats though.
