Default muffler break in.

How long does it take to break in a muffler? I have read on here that a muffler will get louder later on.i just put on a magnaflow muffler that is a little louder than stock and the total case specs is 22inx5inx11in pt# 12589.i wanted something that was mellow but deep.its a 3in/3out to the stock piping.i just put 250 miles on it so far.

I have #12909 on mine and it took a couple of months to get louder. The protective material inside of it will need to burn off.

It doesn't take that long. All you're really looking for is a covering on the inside of the muffler itself.
