I know I only have a 4.8 but I put the Aero Turbine muffler on mine and it sounded cool but I lost alot of performance. When i went on a couple trips,I would climb hills and it would have to shift down to second gear to keep the cruise at 75 it was running about 4800 rpm.Ive since put a regular flowmaster 2 chamber on and its never had to shift below third to climb any hills. It might be different on the bigger engines but that was my experience.

Ok after driving the magnaflow for a bit the resonator is coming off tonight after work to see what it does. Sounds nice but just a wee to tame I'd like to hear the exhaust just a bit once I'm cruising.

Well, as stated in earlier posts the outcome was as expected. I noticed 0 improvement in tone or db level after removing the resonator. After the family leaves this weekend I'll put it up on the lift and do a port and polish job on the third cat Hopefully then it's on like donkey kong.

I've got a regular flow 40 on my 08 4.8 with dumps, stock piping with a muffler and sounds pretty damn good to me. Isn't crazy at wot either, kinda quiets down and you mostly hear the motor. Between 1500 and 2000rpm is probably its loudest. But nonetheless, sounds really nice.

Edit: did kinda feel like it lost a little bit of power, too. Not too crazy, but it feels a little more lacking in the low end. Not sure if that's just me though
