RJ, This is why I wrote " you may want to hold off until you confirm the ability of the dealer to identify a non GM calibration. Don't want to start a pissin match here but you are concerned about the warranty on your 35k financed truck!
Then closed with, Can any one share with us if this does include our GMT900 trucks.
I have not tuned my 6.2 truck but have driven a couple that were and damn near jumped in until I found this TSB.
My vote is no to keep your warranty, But yes if your warranty is not an issue!"
If it's true the tune can be returned with out a trace I'm in !

I know what you put, and I wasn't arguing, I was replying with the answer to your question. They can view the parameters and send a snapshot to GM, but once the parameters have been returned to stock they have no way of detecting that they were ever altered on GMT900 trucks. However, I can nearly guarantee that the next generation trucks will switch to the Global A engine management, which will allow the dealers to access a record of prior tuning.

The truck developed pretty bad piston slap when it was cold out. It was so bad that you could let it warm up twice on the remote start and it would still knock for the first 3-4 miles of driving. GM actually went above the dealer and just replaced the whole engine as opposed to the short block the dealer had submitted for.
