Dang, I thought the "off-topic" part of this thread was getting pretty interesting and it just dried up.

Yeah, no kidding. He's commented in other threads since then, so I'm not sure what the hell happened there.

Didn't subscribe to the thread sorry for the delay lol

Hey not trying to be a hot shot here, just letting people know how it has gone when I've tried this lol, I don't do the tuning my friend shane does so honestly don't know if that is a alterable field, all i'm saying here is why would i lie about what I've stated above, it would not benefit me in any way to lie about it?? The ones i have had kicked back were all vette's, with the e38/e39 ecm's, have not tried to squeeze any truck/car LS style pcm's through the loop yet..... both of the vette's had complete stock tunes put back in along with stock injectors installed and blowers removed lol

Foxer, nobody's gettin on your ***, just trying to get as much of the story as we can in case we (knock on wood) face that issue one of these days. Thanks for clarifying that you haven't really had to put a pickup to the test!

I didn't think you were lying, but we had a guy do the footwork and he found a way to acquire the original CVN (if one had not saved it already) to have it all in order for dealer inspection. I'm not a tuner either, but I assumed that there must be a way to change the CVN back to the original numbers; otherwise, there would have been no point in telling us how to find the original numbers.
