The mirror caps will be painted soon.
I've actually thought about having just the outer ring of the grill painted and leaving the center chrome.

Color match the outer ring of the grill and that would look sharp

275/55/17 is gonna be way too short a tire even with a 2/4. I would atleast put a 275/60 on it or better yet a 265/65/17 general grabber uhp. Was really happy with them on my old truck. 285/60/17 would be your best bet IMO, but gonna be tough fitting them on a 7 1/2" rim

275/60/17 imho they will be just right...plus if you wanted a 3/5 later you wont have to change tires. the 55 is short

My traction sucks with 22's I cant imagine what it will be like with 17's lol

I like them. Function over form for me. I just ditched my heavy chrome 20's and I don't miss them. Truck is quicker, smoother and brakes much better.

I've never had traction issues. Even these puny 245/70/17 hook.

I've been looking at this idea as well for track use only I want to add 2" to the rear wheels like another member did to his wheels. I dont think I could give up the 22s for everyday driving but I would rock the police look for track days and showing off.
