I have the same function over form attitude. When I switched from 22's to 17's the difference was huge! Not only lighter but the smaller tire added to the gear. Instantly felt like 30+ hp. I've never seen a real race car run 22's.....wonder why??

really??? porsche is running 20's all the way around on one of their super cars.. iirc.. everyone is now running 20+ wheels...

Im sure the only reason they would be running that big of a rim is because of the brakes. I feel the bigger wheels are over rated. I would never go bigger than a 20" wheels again. I feel bigger wheels are more for show cars than for hotrodding. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Either way would still run the 17's or 18's at the track.
