I don't think that people are hatin' on them, but your already at a disadvantage with a smaller motor. Just out of curiosity, was your truck tuned with 20's? and didn't you just switch to 17's?

I had charlie switch it before I went to the track.... So it was adjusted to the smaller ones... But I think the stall is a big problem for my time I could drop .4 on the launch then a few tenths after the 1-2 shift when it's in the power band ..

That converter will never work good with an N/A 4.8. Get a 4000 rpm converter and go from there. When you swapped gears you should have gone with 4.56's. You're not dealing with a 5.3/6.0, the 4.8's are short stroke engines and they love rpm.

let em hate! the 4.8's are potent, they just need a little forced induction. as far as 60's go, on street tires i cant go any faster then a 2.3x 60 ft and that nets me a 12.9 @113 on slicks is a 1.67 11.8 @ 114. that start is so critical

have you tried flashing the converter? stall it up to 900 or 1000 and let it hit..
Stalling it up till the brakes push isnt gonna get it out of the hole hard.

Not a 4.8 hater as much as a bang for the buck shopper,How much have you spent to beat a 5.3? isnt this post about going slowwww ? what about getting beat by hemi's?

For the up front cost of $800 more for a 5.3 ,im my mind that's the best bang for the buck.

You spend enough $$$ you could have made a 4.3 fast as hell to
