Question about this. I have the dealership installed rocker chrome BS on my truck. Is the removal of this going to be similar to the debadging videos I've seen on youtube using monofiliment fishing line and then some mineral spirits to take off any adhesive remnants followed quickly by a soap and water washing? One concern I have is the GM adhesive backing is extremely thin compared to that which is used on badging or molding so it might be tough to remove.

The stuff I am talking about is the old man chrome (no offense to anyone liking this or liking chrome just want a sleeker look) below the molding on my All Terrain.

It should just be as easy as the molding. The thing i would do is use a heat gun or a hair dryer to make it loosen up. I used a 3m wheel to take my adhesive off

Be careful removing that chrome ****. I've seen it pull paint off with it. Heat is your friend. And work slowly and patiently on it.

Hoping the fact that the truck is a 2011 and most likely a dealer installed option it will come off rather well. I've heard good and bad about the eraser wheels, is it the way to go and wont damage my paint. I plan to have the truck buffed at the dealer after im done (uncle works there so its free). Not trying to hijack the thread but thinking of dechroming it after work. Sick of thinking im driving my dads truck (but louder) every time i look at it.
