Default Need help with boosted pcv setup

Ok having a bad problem with my pcv setup. At first i ran it like stock into the intake but was getting ALOT of oil being pushed through the intake and burning through the exhaust and smoking real bad. Alright well changed to just breathers on both valve covers and put a breather on the oil fill cap. That fixed the smoking out of the exhaust but now it smokes through the breathers bad. Do I need to add a vacumm pump or something? I just recently added a catch can from both valve covers and ran it to the inlet side of my turbo but still same prob no luck at all. Oh and this is a idle problem not when I'm under boost or driving. I just want my truck to stop smoking I really need to fix this pcv problem fast before I decide to rip everything off cuz this is really getting to me already

Damn, ive always seem then run a line to tie the valve covers together. But its really odd that your truck is smoking through the vents at idle

Yeah and I know it's isn't the motor because my 5.3 did the exact same thing.

ditch all the PCV and run valve cover breathers on both sides.

You should have smoke (crankcase gasses) coming out out of one of the vc breathers, the dirty side. If you want rid of that, then you can run all of it back through your intake which is a terrible idea im my opinion, as is gm's pcv system in general. How much is it smoking at idle? I dont see the turbo doing much good as far as pulling the gasses out of the engine at idle. Also, if you have a breather on the oil fill cap you can cap off the rest of the ports on that vc. You dont have your throttle body connected to your vc do you?

Correct..you will have steady smoke and vapors coming from the breathers.. just don't want puffs coming out like blowby would create. I tapped my valve cover and ran oil hose down to a breather tank...

Alright so the smoke is normal? Well my motor is gonna be pulled out and be built up so hopfully all the smoke was from a bad part or something. It was coming out in puffs and a lot. I think when I get it back I'm gonna do what Kazfan said and just run a couple hoses off the valve covers and down under the truck with some breathers.
