Yes some is normal, excessive is not. When you run them under the truck, be careful with the hose coming off the passenger side vc that connects to the throttle body. It can puke oil out, I had to run mine uphill because I was loosing oil with it running downhill. If your wanting rid of the fumes, I would consider a catch can that will allow you to tie in both vc's, with a third hose coming off the top of the can and run that under the truck to vent the crankcase gasses.

Well after more research I think I like the solenoid valve STS uses in their kits. Im thinking of running the STS valve with a canton oil/air seperate and a canton catch breather tank. Should fix everything and be really effective
