Justin usually asks if you want the AFM kept on or turned off.... so you had to have told him you wanted it off.

Same here my turd 08 4x4 z71 5.3 with 4 speed 3.73 small lift and 33's I get 12.3-14 mostly highway. I'm not sure what to do myself my daily drive is about 150-180 miles. GM used to have great fuel mileage I wonder what happened.

lmao - my turd. I don't drive that far to work but I only get about 12.5 in town and 14-14.5 on the highway. I am running 285/55/20 with a 4 speed trans, 6.0 max, and 4.10 gears. Oh yeah its a cc and has a leveling kit, brush guard, step rails, and tool box.

Wow. When my truck had the 5-spd I'd get dang near 23 mpg on the highway doing 65 in my 2/4 dropped rcsb with the 4.8. Guess I'm lucky..

If your speedo reading is off (reads slower) because of bigger tires, you will see less MPG since the computer is logging less miles for every gallon burned. Maybe that is messing with your readings.

You can go to this site http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp and punch in your factory tire size and your new tire size and see the difference. Unless you go a good bit large there is really not that much of a difference. I have checked before and factory tires vs. my 285/55/20 are only about 2% difference. So if I was getting 14mpg with factory tires and swapped to my new ones (assuming everything else stays the same - weight, etc) My truck would now show that I was getting 13.72MPG.
