Need some advice........
Well- went truck shopping today. I was originally setting out for a CC and a 5.3. Then it got the best of me- I was on a mission for a 6.2! I found one- a 2010 ECSB in the perfect color with the right wheels. He wanted 26K AND my 2001 truck(even after saying how great my truck looked, courtesy of Adams polishes). So I offered'em 8k and my truck(yeah- write'em a check!); I mean c'mon- we're talkin' a year old truck here after all. I'm willing to go 13k and my truck, but man- 26K?! He says that the bank owns the truck and he can't go below a certain point and I go on how I'm gonna miss my current truck as it does everything I want it to and blah blah blah. So I excused myself by claiming that I was hungery and was gonna go have something to eat. So whaddya all think- is the dealer nuts? Should I wait'em out, or check back on'em in a week or so........

It's SLT trim level- just about everything but running hot water(even a sunroof, which I'm not exactly crazy about but it's a factory install). Technically yes- it's new, like 10 miles on the clock, but chronoligically it's still a 2010, a one year old truck and I'm harping on that point. Sticker was originally 42k, but again that was last year. This is my take on the whole thing; one year old truck looses 15k so that puts us at 27k, 8k for my truck we're at 19k then his 7k for GM owener loyalty and all that and that put's me square at 12k.............

Truck might be 6 months old. With only 10 miles on it, its still new. They have an incentive to get rid of it just so they don't have to keep it on the lot....
For a fully loaded truck like that, the salesman is probably going down to 35K and when I was looking at them, the lowest I saw for a lower spec'd 6.2/6l80e was a little above 30K. It could probably get lower when it got down to it.
Then, on trade-in, he's probably figuring 6-7K. I would even have guessed 5K for a 9-10 year old truck.....
I think you might get 23K + your truck, honestly. You've essentially offered him at best 15K and 20K for a fully loaded truck! If they take that, I'll come up there and buy another!

LOL- I'll wait'em out. I'm going to Albuquerque now to check out a Black 2011 CC 6.2 and see what happens. While black isn't my first color choice I can live with it, I'll let y'all know how it goes.........

Alrighty- I got a truck! It's a Silverado CCSB, a red one(arrest me- red) with the hallowed 6.2. I have 16miles on it as of arriving home. It has the L9H engine in it, how is this different than the L-92? I'm guessing that it's flex fueled. First things I plan to do is color match the grille and bumper, there was an LTZ 5.3 red truck there too that was color matched- where do I get a paintable grille and bumper peice?
I was really easy on it the way home, and I could tell it's a real tiger under the right foot. Infact- I had to drive Mom's Escalade this morning to my house because I forgot my cell phone and I was doing 100+ and man it didn't feel that fast. I really like the seats in this truck, msomething I was concerned about as the seats in Moms Esky feel cramped. These are actually sizeable and nice. Well guys- I'm happy as a clam right now, I'll get Pics when I can. Funny- I don't miss the old horse yet............
