thanks guys, blackjack im actually hesitant on the 3k because of my truck being lifted, if it should be lower than that. reason for 4.88's is to have that extra performance down low. also helps for hills and country areas im in. granted ill be pulling 2500 rpm's vs. 2300 rpms with 4.56's but its not that extremely different. better accelleration around town is what the difference is. i might change it up for 4.56's though.
been looking at the TR 220 112lsa cam, i think thats what i would want, gotta look into it more because i saw a few comp cams 218. im still reading through the other forums and such about cams. trying to see what everyone has gone with since im looking for performance outta my daily driver.
a tranny cooler like this?trans cooler
gotta figure out how to beef up the shitty 4l60e, wish i had the 6l80e. all i can think of is the cooler, the vette servo, thats it.

Send comp cams a request for cam, with all your specs. They sent me an LSR comp that would work for a DD / performance. I cant recall the part # but the description said TORQUE! so for a heavy truck, im sure it'll push really well. Specs were something like lift 209/214 duration 609/613
(thats ball park)

Not at all. Say in normal driving situations your truck starts to take off at like 1200ish, mine starts to take off at 1800ish. Stomp on it and it flashes to about 3000ish. All of my friends that have driven it cannot believe the difference in performance. I had never riden in anything with a looser converter but I would not hesitate to get another one. Call Chris at Circle D and talk to him about any concerns you have.

Thanks for the info man but I'm gona ask pat g for a custom setup for a cam most likely. I really like the power band and torque of the tr220. Big thing is trying to figure out a DD stall speed for my truck to move these heavy 35s. I'd have to call Chris at circle d since I bet with me and my truck it weighs mid 6000s. If totally get the 112 vs a 114 for the torque down low as well as the rpm range which I can't remember off the top of my head as of now.

now looking around people saying i should stay in the teens for lope with a lifted truck and get a 3200 circle D stall, what about the 218/224 lope i saw somewhere on here or that 224 still too much lope? i think it was a comp cam. idk ill look around before i get ahold of Pat G.
