Default New to the LS engine, looking to do a swap or stroker...Help Please

I need a little advise/help. I have a 2009 GMC Sierra with the 5.3L, I would like to either stroke this engine or upgrade to a 6.0L stroked engine. I have built many engines in the past from NA to blown, so I can build the engine, I just don’t have any experience with the LS engines. I have done a couple of searches but have not found answers to all of my questions, so I am going to list them…I will try not to be long winded.
My goal with this is to up the HP and to be able to tow my 20’ bass boat without spinning 5K all the time on an incline.
1. Will my existing tranny bolt up to the 6.0, if that is the option I go with
2. I assume the 6.0 stroker is the better choice for overall performance and towing
3. Any suggestions as to what stroker kit (6.0 or 5.3), cam, heads, ect to use.
4. Fuel system upgrade?
5. Do away with the variable cylinder deal under light load?
6. I assume all of my front dress will bolt on a 6.0, what about the electronics?
If I have posted this in the wrong board, I apologize or if there is a better place to post please let me know and I will post this there.
Thanks in advance for your help

YES

2. I assume the 6.0 stroker is the better choice for overall performance and towing.
5.3 can only be bored to a 5.7L then stroked to a 383

3. Any suggestions as to what stroker kit (6.0 or 5.3), cam, heads, ect to use.
All depends on your budget and where you want to go with the build.

4. Fuel system upgrade?
Depending HP level you will need injectors and if you got FI you will need fuel pump

5. Do away with the variable cylinder deal under light load?
I take it you are talking about DOD. I recommend yes

6. I assume all of my front dress will bolt on a 6.0, what about the electronics?
Everything swaps over just fine. You need to retune the ecm for the motor, injector change

Imho, if you are wanting to stick to an N/A motor with useable tq then a 370 is the way to go. Find a cheap 6.0 block, bore .030", get new pistons, slap your 5.3 stuff in it and have a 420hp motor for less than 2k AND brand new.

Wanting FI? Just go with a turbo 70mm works wonders, or go tvs1900 with 8-10psi
