Found it but I'm dissapointed in gm on the location, they used the second charging port under the radio for it... Makes it look like they forgot about it and just went back and stuck it there as an afterthought

 

wonder if you modify it. Hmmm.. i would imagine it still has to go to the head unit somehow. might be able to find the wire to tap into and just add your own in your desired location.

 

eh i may worry about it once i get an LT2 console but for now i'll leave it alone

 

there are USB "extension cords" available, even better I know there are USB to iPod connections available. My new stereo came with it, set up like an umbilical from the back of the unit.

 

i know a place where you can find a console. Hit me up when you get $
