what is the limiting factor, is it just the driveshaft? a good friend of mine makes custom driveshafts so thats not in issue then i could go 24s maybe and a 5/7ish drop...what im i missing
I'm pretty sure you can do a body lift. My limited research mentioned that the issue is with the front end geometry, and it's not to do with the drive shafts. Someone else with more specific knowledge might be able to clarify.

The front suspension on an awd Denali and a regular 4wd pickup are exactly the same. The kicker is that the front driveline is always spinning WITH POWER APPLIED. This is because of the t case (obviously). Lift or drop that can be put on a 4wd, will work on yours. If you are putting a true suspension lift, one that changes the location of the front differential, you may need a different driveline and or modified drop brackets.
There are guys on here with 4/6 + drops on their 4wd. You could also go 6-8 up too. Any questions, let me know. I do suspension all day as my job.
