Default New Wheels/Tires

Like the title says it痴 about that time to get some new tires and I知 planning to get some wheels while I知 at it. I知 leaning towards the (Cosmis XT-005R Black | Milled Spokes | 20x9.5 +15 6x139.7 6x5.5 and some 275/40-20s.
My truck currently has a 4/6 drop (I think) I don稚 want a skinny tire and I知 wondering if will lower the truck a bit as well.

I知 currently running the stock 17s with 275/60-17.

275/40r20 would look atrocious. Way too short. You are losing an inch compared to your current tires and if your current tires clear you need to get something the same size or bigger.

That looks like maybe a 2/4 drop if that. No way that is a 4/6.

I perhaps a 275/55-20 since it will be bigger, I also don稚 want for the truck to get raised because of the tires and it shows it痴 going to raise it about an inch.

Brother if you don't have bigger tires that truck is going to look like it skipped leg day. Trust me you want the bigger tires.

275/45r20 is dimensionally what you want as it has an overall diameter of 29.8" which is very close to the 30" 275/60r17 that you currently have. This would slightly lower the overall height of the truck, of course, it will slightly increase the fender well gaps but would allow you to lower the truck more in the future without needing to buy new tires.

Another option would be 275/50r20's which has an overall diameter of 30.9".

This is the comparison of the 275/45-20 with the 275/60-17. I think I知 going with that. Thanks for your replies
