I won't back down ! Lol I'll probably run into him around town again some day ... I'm thinking about ditching my Tahoe 20's and maybe goin to a 17 alloy tahoe wheel with shorter tire to help me out some.. And long tubes in a few weeks. It really was not a bad loss for suffocating my truck and a tuned hemi. Oh it's the cars that come with the 3.92 gears ....

Believe it or not, the charger r/t come standard with 2.65 gears, I'm not sure on the srt models. Standard trucks are either 3.55 or 3.92 and the power wagon has 4.56 gears. Keep us posted if you meet up with him again after a retune. Always good to here a good kill story.

I honestly doubt your stock air box is suffocating your truck...... Unless you turbo it that box will flow more CFM than your 4.8 could ever use.
And honestly if you think it sucks that bad just stick the open cone back on.

@94vmax ...Well they are are dodges... So there for I don't really care that much, I just vaguely emember a co- worker talking of some new dodge he was shopping for with available 3.92 in some package. ...... Ok so the fluctuation of rpm at the start like its choking would not be caused by that, and the crappy throttle response and loss of power wouldn't either? ...
@ Allan6.0 thanks I'm gonna look into that or a larger hole in the fender to fit that airbox cut out ... Gonna check it out.
@raptor700.... Ya I'm hoping run into him again soon lol ... I almost debated pulling over and swapping the intakes back over lol

I realize the truck is new but you are also running oiled air filters. Most people ( even like me) can run those forever and never have an issue but like my car did, contamination can cause false readings by scumming over the resistors and not allowing the heat transfer needed to infer air flow.
If you have access to a scan tool you could watch you airflow reading across the MAF and see if it's normal or all over the place.
