The stock airbox is plenty fine for a stock 4.8L motor...a 6.2L barely gains anything from an airbox swap...Literally only a few hp.

I just finished building it a few weeks ago ... Waiting for the tracks to open up... They should be open pretty soon down here

Yeah I'm gonna do my headers an CAI at the same time, headers have been in but no time yet! I don't wanna pay someone else either when I can do it! Let us know ur times!!

For the record ... I just got home after my truck had a really hard time staring and ran like crap, I switched back to my old intake and BAM!! She is back to her old self

No matter the filter you install, the truck should start and run the same. There is more to your story or something is messed up.

If the tune is set for x amount of air... Plus or minus a little on an open cone filter then u put in a stock airbox that is sucking through a 2x5 hole in the fender with a really thick filter, I do believe that would cause hard starting and a bog when u get on it ... As well as a dtc for detection of running super rich ... That's just what I'm thinking ... My new filter was non oiled
