Time for external tranny cooler to take the load off radiator and a 160 thermostat. What would i need to do as far as tuning for the thermostat?

I had the same issue, especially when I put on my cai. Coolant temps would creep up to 220* or slightly more, the tranny about the same amount. When I threw on my 40k trans cooler the problem basically went away. I suspected it was the hot transmission fluid that was pushing the stock radiator and the coolant up to the higher temps. Not sure , but like I said, my problem went away, and I still have the stock thermostat

Im going to install a cooler in next few weeks Having the internal in radiator isnt helping... Im going to have it routed after the factory cooler. So it will technically have 2 coolers

I would route the cooler directly after the tranny and before the stock intank cooler. The temps will be cooled down by the aftermarket cooler and then stabilized by the factory setup. Works great that way and maintains consistently cooler temps
