oil pan removal

Default oil pan removal

Okay I need to drop my oil pan I took off all the bolts and.the tube but I cant seem to.get it down the front crossmember seems to.be blocking it .. what is all needed to be done to completely remove the pan

you remove the ones from the trans into the back of the pan?

Should be able to remove cross member then the bellhousing and unbolt the oil pan

I had to drop the steering rack. Check that.

you don't have to drop the steering rack, just that one line, its a 10mm bolt.
remember to take out the 2 bolts threw the timing cover, and the 2 threw the trans. you do have to drop that cross member, I think its a 21mm wrench and socket
pound out those factory rivets (if replacing the gasket) and remember to silicone bead the 4 corners (not excessively)

This isn't the correct method, but I ever so slightly bent the hard lines for the rack to gain just enough room to wiggle the pan out.
