Default Oil residue

Well I was replacing the battery on my 08 Silverado and found some oil residue on the valve covers. Should this be of any concern to me? Truck is bone stock minus lift and exhaust.

i would say its semi- normal , if your **** about having oil everywhere. you can change the rubber gaskets on the valve covers. that would keep it from leakin .also when they are off spray your bolts with carb cleaner. should make the rubber swell up

I'm not really **** about it just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem and make sure nothing was wrong. This truck is my daily and only vehicle. Thanks for the comments!
