lookin at puttin in a 3200 stall and buildin up the trans a little on my 07 vmax, i was thinkin about a yank. Who around here would be good to go through to get the work done and all?

 

install your own converter, buy a performabuilt LVL 2

 

man i dont mess with the trans at all, where would i find a level 2?

 

If you live in pearland, try David Meyers trans. He built a trans for my formula and I beat the hell out of it for years without any problems! He had best prices around plus he is local in case u have any problems!

 

Glad you had good luck with him. I had terrible luck. 2 rebuilds 2+months of my truck at his shop and my truck got sideswiped while in his posession. Out of the three people I know personally with one of his transmissions ALL of them failed.

Wow I had my 700r4 built in 03/04 and was bullet proof. Would bark 2nd and 3rd. Guess he started going cheap on parts or got some shitty techs. Guess I'll steer clear of there from now on! I heard good things about the transmission shop who is a sponsor on HoustonPerformanceTrucks but that's only hear say...

 

I hear mixed reviews on the HPT sponsor... I know a great local builder now however that does work fairly cheap as well. (bench jobs only) PM for details.

 

If your looking for a Converter I've read nothing but good things about Circle D & they are in Houston so that's a plus, I will soon be getting one myself!
