Default Ok plan B need ideas

I was thinking about a turbo or supercharger but being I have the 4L60e trans and was told that they can't handle lots of power. So Im thinking just put a few bolt on parts to help the performance. Even though im thinking of selling my truck i still would like to add a couple mods. What have you guys done to your 5.3L and was it worth it. Please guys give me some ideas and maybe even story's of your build. thanks

Oh and you'll need to make sure your DS isn't binding due to pinion angle.

I'd say if u keep it longer or want to have some good hp gains I'd do a cam, long tube headers, CAI , exhaust and tune and also what BrutalSierra said too, thats good for almost 100rwhp and YES it's worth it

Ok this is what I came up with so for. (just a rough sketch) All the parts I want to be GM parts for personal preference. I'm still searching for ideas and knowledge before I start buying all my part. Heres the idea for the engine....... LS3 90mm TB, LS3 injectors, LS6 camshaft w/ up graded springs, P&P the factory heads, and a homemade CAI. like I said this is just the first run of making a list so im sure it will change before it time to buy. Thanks

Once you get past a certain point, the 60E is a time bomb anways. Being that you're in a CCSB, I'm willing to bet that you'd be just as likely to have your trans. take a **** on you with a cam and full bolt-on's as you would with FI. 400 hp, 500 hp, whatever. Once you get to a certain point at your weight, reliability is worthless with the 60E. So my suggestion, sell the 60E and buy a junkyard 80E. Super simple. Someone will buy it. Then, go either way and do as you please.

Yes so I've heard but I also heard you have to do a few Mods to the truck to make the 80 fit. That's why I was thinking of getting Madman rebuilt kit for my trans. Also thinking of 4:10 outback....

And? A few mods is better than replacing a few transmissions. Maybe that's just me.
