I ordered a new truck about 6-7 weeks ago and picked it up yesterday.

It is a silver CC Sierra SLE with Max trailer package.

I am coming from an 05 Avalanche and power wise it is a remarkable difference. And I am getting better mileage than the AV.

The six speed seems to shift and find the right gear quite nicely. I can only imagine what this thing will run like when tuned.

The truck will be used for work and hunting, not a race truck.

Future mods;

1. Intake tube and filter.

2. Tune.

3. Headers.

4. Snugtop.

5. Fender Flares.

6. Leveling kit.

7. Larger more aggressive tires.

8. Leather seats.

So anyone know where I can get just an intake tube?

I talked to AirAid and they are not making the JR kits for this truck yet.

Also anyone have experience with aftermarket leather seats?

I think I know exactly how you feel, I ordered one and just picked it up on March 31. It is so different (better!) from my '99 5.3 it's absolutely amazing. Now to start spending money on improvements ....

 

I run a mit tube and panel filter on mine and it's a 2011 silverado. I wonder why they said they don't make one for your truck? Part for part it's the same truck mechanically. I'd give you the part# but I pitched the box it came in. I believe it's the same as the 07-up avalanches, denali's, and escalades but double check.

 

11Z71, thanks for the tip I called them today and actually got the guy that answered my email. He again said they did not have one, than I told him that I knew someone who bought one and he got off his lazy *** and looked it up.
