Can somebody post up some pics of there shaved gates? My tailgate has been at the body shop for about 3 weeks. They're saying they cant find the piece that covers vvv THIS PART vvv of the tail gate:


Its shaved and the relocater kit is on.

What did your shop cover that area up with?

 

they're just going to have to make a piece to fill it. im not aware of a company thats making anything for them.

 

What kind of material would it be? Steel? I guess I need to call them Monday and see what the hold up is. 3 weeks should be plenty of time for the job, wouldnt you think? lol

 

LOL @ the body shop. They have to make fillers to go in there. Best to use is regular mild steel sheet metal. 1/8 '' Is the whole top of the gate recessed ?

 

Yes indeed

 

A piece needs to be cut, then placed over the top. The seam needs to be welded, also the top/sides, then filled, blocked out.
